THE SELF SUFFICIENT LIFE
Live green, live clean is the coming together of information, facts and research. The site brings together pioneers of a new way of self sufficient living, (see Zeitgeist link). It is about groups of people living free from the restraints of our current monetary system, and whose methods are being replicated across the world.
This is not 'New Age', it's a way of living that's always been here, but has and is being suppressed by the powers that be. Now, with the knowledge, the skills (see Open Source Ecology link), the resources (see VPS link), and technology everyone can live free of arduous, monotonous, underpaid jobs and financially restricted lifestyles.
THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT is the activist arm of the VENUS PROJECT. The Zeitgeist films can be found on their site and must not be missed. The films are an internet phenomenon, and it's now estimated that 20 million people world-wide are aware of this movement. The Venus Project represents change and the chance for everyone to come away from the monetary system and live a GREEN, CLEAN self-sufficient, healthy, sustainable life. KAVA: A plant that for thousands of years has been used by the people of the Pacific Islands to form a brew; that when drank induces a state of calm and well being, aids sleep and now, after recent studies, has gained claims of of having cancer controlling properties.
Kava is banned because this natural remedy will stand to loose the pharmaceutical giants millions of pounds, dollars, and euros each year.
This brings us to the EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE ON TRADITIONAL HERBAL MEDICINAL PRODUCTS (See Alliance for Natural Health). Under this regulation, all herbal medicinal products are required to obtain an authorisation to market within the EU. Those products marketed before this legislation came into force can continue to market their product until 30 April 2011, under the transitional measures defined in the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive. Once this time limit has expired, all herbal medicinal products must have prior authorisation before they can be marketed in the EU .
This directive will in fact stop the pharmaceutical cartels such as Big Pharma (see IAN R CRANE LINK and, in particular his work on CODEX ALIMENTARIUS) losing billions. So very soon these drug producing companies, whose share holders consist of some of the worlds most prominent politicians, will have free rein, producing such drugs as Prozac which is now so prevalent it can be detected in UK water supplies!
